How To Attract Members To A New Dating Site

Starting a new dating website is simple enough.New Dating Site Purchase the software, customize it and place it online. It may be done in a few days. But what is a dating site without members? How do you attract members to a new site? This is the hard part.

Not many people know your site exists. People who stumble onto your site will likely be deterred by the realisation that we now have only a few or no members to interact with. Unless you have ample money to throw to promote the web page, it may be the site will languish until you are able to help make your site widely known or searchable.

Dating software vendors are acutely mindful of this. Their option would be to create the software to allow the generation of fake members to populate the web page to provide the semblance of the active thriving community. Unfortunately, people can simply see through this deception and they will not really impressed. I actually do not recommend this method.

It will be the chicken or even the egg dilemma.New Dating Site If they realize that there are very few members, people will not join. But how will you get enough members in the first place to entice people to join. This is the predicament that I am facing with my own site.

We have come to the realisation that there is absolutely no fast solution. It will take time and effort to advertise the web page and there is lots of learning involved. The first thing I learnt was that Adwords and other pay-per-click advertisements are just not practical for small companies from a financial standpoint. In my ignorance, I had been thinking in the vicinity of countless cents per click. Are you aware that it may cost anything up to $6 or more per click for the ad to show up in the first page? That is certainly per click - the visitor may not even sign-up whatsoever!

So paid search is out of the question. I am focusing all of my efforts on organic search meaning seeking to acquire a high ranking in the major search engines for relevant keywords. Visitor numbers will go up if people can find me in the search engines. When visitor numbers reach a critical mass, then the likelihood is that I will be able to start attracting signups.

This is exactly what We have done so far:

Exchanged links with some other dating sites. I am going to do the same goes with other unrelated sites because there is some indication it is merely as important.

List in online business directories

Write articles to submit to articles directories - this is one of them

Participated in forums

Added my connect to Squidoo.com lenses (member pages)

Added h1 headers to each and every page of this site using keywords

Submitted a sitemap to Google using Google Webmaster Tools

I am just also continually scouring the net for brand new methods for seo (SEO) and learning something totally new as you go along. We have had some small success and i also think that it is going to work in time. Right now, my dating site ranks between 80 and 200 for four keywords there are small improvements everyday. There is light at the end of the tunnel! I am hopeful.
